THE FIRST THING A NEWLY-DIAGNOSED BREAST CANCER WARRIOR NEEDS IS INFORMATION.
You’ll need to learn what your diagnosis actually means and what treatments are the most effective. To find that information, scroll through the pages of BreastCancerWarrior.net and whenever you see a subject and recommended web site about that subject, click on it.
Don’t expect to absorb all necessary information in one sitting. Read what you can. Take notes. Then take a break. Give your panicked emotional self time to catch up with your panicked racing brain.
The information you need is here and it will still be here tomorrow. If ever there was a time in your life to be gentle with yourself, this is definitely it! Take it one step at a time.
A diagnosis of Cancer is an enormous beast of burden, so remind yourself to eat the elephant one bite at a time. If you have any questions (and you should have lots of questions), contact us. We can point you in the right direction and perhaps more importantly, we can help you remember that regardless of your personal situation, as of this moment you are not alone.
By virtue of your diagnosis you are now a member of the world-wide family of Breast Cancer Warriors. We’ve been where you are and the lessons we learned during our journey are lessons we are here to pass along to you. Now, take a deep breath and tell yourself the truth: Most Breast Cancer Warriors survive the journey and BreastCancerWarrior.net is here to help you every step along the way. |
