Clinical Trials Overview

The discovery of the Cure and Prevention of Breast Cancer is directly related to participation in Breast Cancer Clinical Trials.  The sooner every Breast Cancer Clinical Trial opening is filled, the sooner the cure will be found.

Unfortunately, today there are several barriers to Clinical Trial participation -- things that prevent Breast Cancer patients from enrolling in Clinical Trials.  One such barrier involves money.  There are costs associated with Clinical Trials participation that medical insurance rarely covers.  These costs, including the cost of commuting to and from a Clinical Trials facility for weeks or months, or the cost of residing in a hotel for the duration of a Clinical Trial, pose of an insurmountable financial burden to thousands of potential Breast Cancer Clinical Trial participants.  With your help, those costs will be paid by The Breast Cancer Warrior Foundation for as many Breast Cancer Warriors as possible.

Cost is only one of the reasons why potential BC Clinical Trials participants 'opt out' of Clinical Trials.  Another reason is fear.

Many people mistakenly believe that when you enroll in a Breast Cancer Clinical Trial, you run the risk of being treated with 'Placebos' ('pretend drugs') in place of approved medications.  Though that is a myth, it is a persistent one that has kept thousands from signing up for Breast Cancer Clinical Trials.  The truth is, Breast Cancer Clinical Trials participants receive only the very best Breast Cancer Treatments medical science has to offer.  With our Breast Cancer Clinical Trials Awareness Campaign, the Breast Cancer Warrior Foundation will strive to inform the public about the way Breast Cancer Clinical Trials actually work, and dispel the many rumors and misunderstandings that currently cause so many Breast Cancer Warriors to shy away from Clinical Trials.
